Jisc is the UK higher, further education and skills sectors’ not-for-profit organisation for digital services and solutions. We believe education and research improves lives, and technology improves education and research.
Our vision is for the UK to be a world leader in technology for education and research and our mission is to power and empower our members with the technology and data they need to succeed. We know that digital technology has the ability to transform the student experience. We have the experience, expertise and know-how to drive that transformation.
A fantastic opportunity for a Graduate/Junior Licensing Manager has become available. You will join a super team working to license software and blended solutions that support the education needs of UK and Irish further and higher education institutions. As a recent graduate, your experience of how software / Learning & Teaching solutions are used and delivered within an academic setting will help shape your role at Jisc Licensing.
About the role
In Jisc Licensing we broker agreements with vendors for content and software solutions that will enable our customers to deliver a quality student experience, deliver high quality research and innovation and enable digital transformation.
To ensure our negotiations deliver on the strategic priorities of our customers, our strategic groups set the direction of negotiations and provide us with our mandate to negotiate on behalf of all UK universities and colleges.
We strive to be evidence-driven in our negotiations and licensing and to enable our customers and funders to take evidence-based management decisions through the use of our intelligence and analytics products.
This role will primarily sit within the Learning and Teaching (L&T) portfolio, though your work may support a broader array of negotiations and agreements across Research and Corporate Information Systems . The L&T team leads the negotiation and licensing of vendor products that support education in HE and FE and Skills. The team negotiates both digital content solutions, software solutions and increasingly, solutions that are a blend of both content and software. This role is focused on software solutions and blended solutions.
