    We are now recruiting for an Summer Placement – Civil Engineer to join our Kier Highways team in Birmingham.

    Kier is the leading highways service provider in the UK, dealing with partners like National Highways as well as a wide range of local authorities. Collectively we manage more than 27,000km of the UK’s strategic and local road networks, ranging from major road schemes all the way to routine maintenance,

    Key Responsibilities

    You’ll be working in conjunction with the site team to ensure that construction is carried out accurately, quality is maintained, records are kept, abortive or defective work is avoided, and that satisfactory progress is achieved.

During the recruitment process you may be expected to show us that you are willing to learn, be self-motivated, punctual, organised, committed, and hard-working.

    Many of the skills you’ll need to succeed in this role will be developed as part of your training – so we look forward to supporting you on your career journey.

    For this role you must currently be studying at university and be available for 8 weeks over the summer period.
