    We are Kier, one of the UK’s leading construction and infrastructure services. We sustainably deliver infrastructure that is vital to the UK, working collaboratively with our clients on projects of all sizes, complexities, and sectors.

    We are now recruiting for an Industrial Placement - Design Manager to join our Kier Construction team in Waterbeach.

    Kier Construction is one of the largest regional builders in the UK, working with public and private sector clients on projects of all sizes and complexities. Our construction teams are split into four regions; London, South & Strategic Projects, Western & Wales, Eastern & Midlands and North & Scotland it also comprises of Kier Places, our housing maintenance and facilities management business.

    Key Responsibilities

    You’ll be responsible for partnering with our clients, supply chain and other internal/external teams to provide technical advice and support whilst encouraging innovation.

    You can expect to liaise with designers, review different designs, carry out site visits and inspections as well as preparing briefs for investigations, surveys, and monitoring.

Many of the skills you’ll need to succeed in this role will be developed as part of your training – so we look forward to supporting you on your career journey.

    For this role you’ll need to take 12 months out of your university studies between your second and final year, please ensure your course allows this.
