Key responsibilities
Right now, we have several exceptional roles for talented graduate bridge engineers to join us in Highways. This is your opportunity Contribute to the successful delivery of the programme of work by producing and developing sound design solutions to meet client requirements within budget and timescale, following Kier processes and procedures as well as any Client specific requirements. You will carry out structural inspections and undertake structural assessments. Assist in the overall delivery of the workload of the Structures team within the Design Services Structures office including feasibility reports and design checks.
The 2-year programme starting in September each year, will enable you to obtain a more technical understanding, commercial and business awareness, opportunity to network across Business Units, support towards professional development and site visits to other parts of the business.
What do we need from you?
To really make the most of this opportunity, you will have a passion for working within our Highways business, flexible with travelling as you will be expected to travel within the region and you will have completed your degree by September 2022, with an actual or predicted 2:1 or above in a Structural Engineering or Engineering related programme that must be accredited by a professional body. You’ll also need a full UK driving licence, as the role will require travel.
