    Key responsibilities

    As a Graduate Estimator you will be required support a team of estimators on various tenders ranging from £500k to £75million. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of analytical tenders on a competitive or negotiated basis. You will need good communication skills and a good eye for detail as well as having good numeracy and IT skills. Duties will also include working in conjunction with administration staff in liaising with our supply chain to make sure their tender returns are complete and sufficient to form part of the estimate

    The 2-year programme starting in September each year, will enable the graduates to obtain a more technical understanding of their discipline, commercial and business awareness, opportunity to network across Business Units, greater structure for professional development and site visits to other parts of the business. We will look for innovative ways for this training to be delivered to maintain a blended approach with positive use of technology.

    What do we need from you?

    To really make the most of this opportunity, you will have a passion for working within our Construction business, flexible with travelling as you will be travelling within the region and you are on course to achieve a 2.1 or above in Building/Construction Degree or Quantity surveying Degree related programme that must be accredited by a professional body. You’ll also need a full UK driving licence, as the role will require travel.
