    We’re looking for an Industrial Placement – Mechanical Engineer to join our Kier Utilities team based in Sheffield. Within this role, you can enjoy 12-months with industry-leading teams, working on exciting projects, hundreds of high-street discounts and even more.

    Responsibilities

    As an Industrial Placement – Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be working within the Kier Utilities team, a leading utility service provider with the majority of work delivered within long-term alliance and framework contracts. With expertise covering a variety of sectors including Water, Electricity, Telecommunications and Gas. Your day to day will include:

    • Produce detailed engineering designs and developments
    • Designing mechanical engineering works in accordance with current standards using bespoke software
    • Complying with both the company, and clients, standards and requirement
    • Continued support with the overall health, safety, and sustainability goals of the business

    What are we looking for?

    This role of Industrial Placement – Mechanical Engineer is great for you if:

    • Are working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related built environment subject
    • Have a 12-month placement as part of your course, please ensure you can take a placement year between your second and final year.
    • Hold a full driving license
    • Are self-motivated, organised, committed and hard-working
