KPMG in the UK is part of a global organisation of independent firms that offers Audit, Consulting, Deal Advisory, Tax & Law and Technology services. Through the talent of over 16,000 people, we turn insights into opportunities, making a positive difference for businesses, people, and communities.

What is Audit?

Audit is KPMG’s largest practice in the UK, supporting many of the world’s largest organisations and helping to build trust in businesses and the economy. We examine organisations and ensure their published accounts provide a true and fair view of their financial position. Through this work, we’re also committed to helping build sustainable organisations from an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) perspective.

KPMG Technology Audit (Information Risk Management) Graduate Programme

The role of technology in audit is increasingly important as the world’s most influential organisations continue to embrace technology at pace. As businesses of all sizes and scales are seizing the opportunities brought about by AI, robotics, advanced analytics and Blockchain, our Technology Audit team plays a critical role in identifying and mitigating the potential risks and threats posed by advancing technology.

On this programme, you’ll work alongside Financial Audit colleagues, supporting the audit in the evaluation of IT systems that underpin an organisation’s key financial processes. You’ll gain exposure to a range of businesses, as well as to the breadth of technology used by these organisations.

Whilst you don’t need to be a technical guru - our current graduates have degrees in a variety of subjects – you’ll be curious, agile, pay attention to detail and have an appetite to learn about technology. We’ll support you to develop your technology, process, and data audit skills and empower you to build an exciting and varied long-term career with us.

Training and benefits

With the KPMG community by your side, you’ll have the support to grow in your own way, gaining learning for a lifetime. You’ll have access to funded, relevant professional qualifications or accreditations and an extensive programme of internal training geared towards your career and personal development. On the Technology Audit (Information Risk Management) graduate programme, we’ll also provide the chance for you to study towards the ICAEW Certificate in Accounting, Finance and Business (CFAB) qualification. And after completing it, your learning and career opportunities will continue.

We offer a competitive salary and a host of great benefits too, including 25 days’ holiday, study leave and a day off on your birthday. What’s more, you can take up to six days of time off to take part in volunteering initiatives.

Our firm’s hybrid working model balances the flexibility of working from home with the importance of collaborating and learning in offices or at client sites. We trust our people to be where our clients need them to be, with our client-facing colleagues working together in person as often as needed. You’ll be empowered by the technology that supports us to work flexibly and our collaborative office spaces, building friendships and shared experiences, innovating, and learning together.

Seeing the whole picture

KPMG is a place where you can be yourself and give your best - whoever you are and whatever your degree background.  We look at more than just your academic results and will also consider your strengths, values and motivations. If you’re collaborative and good with people, that can be just as important as your ability to pick up key technical skills. See the specific programme page on our Careers Portal for entry requirements and our ‘How to Apply’ section for detailed application guidance.
