Job Description

Main Job Purpose

To be responsible for managing and coordinating the completion of translation, localisation, transcription, alternative format, proofreading, voiceover and subtitling projects.

Specific Tasks

  • The management and coordination of multiple language projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Use of the project management portal for assignment of files, project tracking and invoicing
  • Manage supplier queries and liaise with clients on a day-to-day basis
  • Monitor and control projects status
  • Liaise with sales staff to clarify project parameters
  • Negotiate with vendors
  • Manage project finances, including budgeting
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with contract translators and proof-readers globally
  • Compliance with relevant and applicable procedures
  • Quality checks of deliverables
  • Delivery of finalised work to clients, ensuring that all deadlines are met
  • Updates to project plans and delivery schedules
  • Process supplier invoices
  • Create client invoices
  • Take personal responsibility for ensuring that personal information is used fairly and lawfully within GDPR guidelines, report any personal data security incidents immediately and abide by the Information Security Policy detailed in the Staff Handbook
  • Any other duties appropriate to the position.

Person Specification

The following range of experience, knowledge and skills are required:

  • Degree in Translation, Modern Languages, Linguistics or similar

  • Proficiency in Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tools (SDL Trados Studio, XTM, MemoQ)

  • Proactive approach to supplier follow-up

Desirable

  • Previous Translations Coordination Experience
