We are looking for a Content & Engagement Coordinator to join the Legal Careers Group. Working with the LawCareers.Net content team, you will edit and create new content for all websites and publications, as well as contribute to videos, podcasts and social media channels.

A key part of the role is assisting in the organisation and delivery of on-campus presentations, student conferences, awards and other events. You will also build and maintain relationships with key contacts (such as student law societies and careers advisers) and work with all team members to ensure that LawCareers.Net maintains its market leading position.

The LawCareers.Net suite of products and events provide essential resources for anyone interested in embarking on a career in the legal profession. Our products serve aspiring lawyers at all stages, from guides for school students providing basic information about the routes into law, including legal apprenticeships, to comprehensive information and advice services for university graduates seeking entry to the solicitors’ and barristers’ professions.

Key responsibilities

  • Create legal careers content for website and newsletters
  • Write promotional emails to subscribers
  • Interview firms and other representatives for online profiles and videos
  • Develop social media strategy and assist with team’s social media activities
  • Create digital video content on Instagram and TikTok
  • Assist with creation and promotion of podcast episodes
  • Assist with the running of annual careers conferences LawCareersNetLIVE
  • Assist with virtual masterclass event schedule and promotion
  • Assist with the running of the annual Student Law Society Awards
  • Develop LCN’s on-campus presence, attend law and careers fairs and relevant networking events
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts such as lawyers, recruiters and careers
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise

Skills, knowledge and expertise

  • Previous experience of content writing, editing and proofing skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Interest or experience in creating digital and social media content
  • Interest or experience in events organisation
  • Detailed oriented, highly organised and ability to work under pressure
  • Confidence in networking and meeting clients
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • An interest in developing an understanding of the UK legal profession, and particularly legal graduate recruitment
