About the role

  • Duration: 13 months, starting July 1st, 2024, ending 25th of July 2025
  • Salary: £18,525 per year
  • Benefits: 25 days paid holiday + UK bank holidays, employee assist program and more
  • Location: Malvern office
  • Hybrid working, based on your tasks.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a STEM degree (Engineering or Physics) that offers an Industrial Placement Year
  • Right to work and live in the UK for the duration of the placement.
  • An understanding of different engineering disciplines ,mechanical, electronic and software would be ideal.
  • An understanding of concept design, CAD, prototyping, and testing.
  • An awareness of systems engineering principles such as DFX, FMEA, and DOE.
  • Passionate approach to theoretical and practical problem solving on scientific instrumentation.
  • Creative thinking – design will be at the heart of this work.
  • An interest in understanding customer needs and communicating results.
  • Curiosity and desire to learn – the projects are interdisciplinary.
  • A scientific approach to problem solving.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
