Are you a STEM student passionate about improving data analysis of real samples and making an impact? Join our vibrant R&D team in Malvern and: 

  • Tackle real-world challenges by working with the R&D team towards understanding customers’ real challenges and how their samples properties affect data for providing an overall better user experience. 
  • Develop your skills in different branches of product development, including algorithm development and customers’ requirements gathering.

About the role

  • Duration: 13 months, starting July 1st, 2024, ending 25th of July 2025. 
  • Salary: £18,525 per year. 
  • Benefits: 25 days paid holiday + UK bank holidays, employee assist program and more. 
  • Location: Malvern office. 
  • Hybrid working, based on your tasks. 

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a STEM degree (Chemistry, Physics, Natural Science) that offers an Industrial Placement Year. 
  • Right to work and live in the UK for the duration of the placement. 
  • Creative thinking – design will be at the heart of this work. 
  • Curiosity and desire to learn – the projects are interdisciplinary. 
  • A scientific approach to problem solving. 
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills. 
  • For a lab-based placement: 
  • An understanding of experimental planning and how to work in a laboratory environment independently. 
  • An interest in understanding customer needs and communicating results. 
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a team environment and strong organizational skills to manage time effectively. 
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new techniques and methodologies. 
  • For an algorithm-based placement 
  • Enrolled in a numerical degree such as (Maths, Physics, Computer Science etc). 
  • Experience of scientific programming (Python/Matlab or similar). 
  • Experience with data analysis and statistics.
