About the role
- Duration: 13 months, starting July 1st, 2024, ending 25th of July 2025.
- Salary: £18,525 per year.
- Benefits: 25 days paid holiday + UK bank holidays, employee assist program and more.
- Location: Malvern office.
- Hybrid working, based on your tasks.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a STEM degree (Chemistry, Physics, Natural Science) that offers an Industrial Placement Year.
- Right to work and live in the UK for the duration of the placement.
- Creative thinking – design will be at the heart of this work.
- Curiosity and desire to learn – the projects are interdisciplinary.
- A scientific approach to problem solving.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- For a lab-based placement:
- An understanding of experimental planning and how to work in a laboratory environment independently.
- An interest in understanding customer needs and communicating results.
- Capability to work collaboratively in a team environment and strong organizational skills to manage time effectively.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new techniques and methodologies.
- For an algorithm-based placement
- Enrolled in a numerical degree such as (Maths, Physics, Computer Science etc).
- Experience of scientific programming (Python/Matlab or similar).
- Experience with data analysis and statistics.
