    What you’ll be doing

    Martin-Baker is the world’s leading manufacturer of ejection seats, helping to protect aircrew in the world’s most advanced military aircraft. Our mission is simple - to save aircrew lives. Join us on this mission as a Year in Industry Placement student.

    You’ll embark on an exciting journey in one of our Engineering departments, and could be involved in a variety of exhilarating projects: from CAD modelling new designs, to collaborating and supporting customers; from project planning, to predicting and mathematically modelling outcomes; from analysing and improving manufacturing processes, to ensuring the quality of suppliers; or from designing verification and then testing seats or sub-components, to providing reliability and maintenance guidance for products.

    Martin-Baker will train you on the basics in engineering - and long-term, we’ll give you the opportunity to specialise in anything from explosives to human engineering. These roles offer a unique opportunity to put what you have started to learn in your degree into practice, and gain invaluable experience with real engineering problems.     Education & qualifications

    • Working towards a degree (1st or Upper 2nd Class Honours) in a relevant field – e.g. most engineering disciplines such as mechanical engineering, aeronautical or aerospace engineering, systems engineering, electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, etc.
