MIO’s Investment Advisory team is seeking an Investment Advisory Analyst to join our global group based in London, UK. This is a client facing, advisory-focused opportunity, not a sales role. The incentive to excel is qualitative and values based.

Investment Advisory

Support the Investment Advisory team in all investment counseling activities

  • Assist in preparing asset allocation balance sheets
  • Provide support in delivering investment advice to clients and respond to inquiries
  • Research various investment topics and products and assess suitability
  • Prepare investment materials for pension plans and client communication (memos, performance reports, website, newsletters, etc.)
  • Document and file investment counseling meetings and activities

Investment Implementation

Support the team in the implementation of portfolio recommendations for investors

  • Facilitate transactions in MIO products
  • Coordinate the implementation of MIO investment proposals with external providers as appropriate
  • Liaise with external service providers to assist with investor follow up and investment implementation

Third-Party Service Providers (e.g., tax advisors, banks, asset managers, etc.)

Liaise with external service providers to assist with investor follow up and implementation of investment recommendations

  • Serve as a team resource by developing thorough knowledge of relevant processes and support contact for Partners with questions regarding these relationships

Desired Background

  • Undergraduate or master’s degree from a leading university, preferably in a quantitative, finance, or economics discipline
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience working for an investment consulting or wealth management firm is required
  • RDR Level 4 compliant (required)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of investments, asset allocation and a strong interest in financial planning and portfolio construction
  • Designated or interest in acquiring CFA, CAIA, or CFP designation is a plus
  • Strong quantitative skills and experience performing in-depth financial modeling is desirable
  • Strong verbal and communication skills, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think/operate internationally, work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and be proactive with clients
  • Integrity and maturity in dealing with confidential financial matters are points of paramount significance as it is envisaged that the analyst will interact with clients from the outset
