Banking Research Team
In the Moody’s Analytics Banking Solutions group, we help lending institutions make important decisions about their business, particularly when they are providing loans, managing risk, or conducting financial planning for the future of their institution.
We do this with our innovative software and reliable analytics, helping them understand how to do their job better through training, learning solutions and advisory services. We are a dedicated team of experts in technology and financial analytics who understand what our clients need.
Role & responsibilities
The Moody’s Analytics Graduate Program will provide the opportunity to gain in-depth insight into a broad range of financial institutions, working within our Banking Operating Unit (OU), passionate about delivering high quality products and services across our client base. With a combination of formal and on-the-job training, alongside ongoing mentoring, you will be expected to work collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
The 12-month program will start in September 2024 on a permanent contract. As a Graduate, you will be an active member of the Banking Research group, working with banks and other financial institutions to solve their foremost challenges related to financial risk, including risk assessment and credit risk modelling, portfolio management, IFRS9 and regulatory compliance.
The team provides forward-looking research, new methodologies, and thought leadership in the financial risk arena. Team members have diverse backgrounds including finance, economics, econometrics, statistics, engineering, accounting, climate, and mathematics.
Qualifications
- This Graduate opportunity is open to 2023 and 2024 graduates available to start the program in September 2024
- Minimum BA with an emphasis in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. MA or MSc degree a plus
- Work experience in banking, credit, and/or financial industry preferred (inclusive of internships)
- Knowledge of programming tools such as Python, R, or Julia with applications in data science or econometrics. ML and non-traditional data sources are a plus
- Ambitious, enthusiastic self-learner who responds positively to feedback
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Fluent in English
