Test Equipment Engineering at Moog Aircraft Group Wolverhampton

Test Equipment is responsible for design, build, deployment and sustainment of Test Equipment for internal and external customers. These Test Systems support the Production Acceptance Testing, and/or Qualification testing of a wide range of Moog Aircraft Flight Control Systems and Components.

Within Test Equipment you will work closely with our internal and external customers in all aspects of test systems, gaining exposure to test systems that are comprised of mechanical, electronic, electrical, software and power distribution components.

Test Equipment Internship projects

The Test Equipment Internship is a 12-month onsite placement based at Wolverhampton. Reporting into the Test Equipment Sustainment Manager, you will be responsible assisting/leading in the following disciplines of Test Equipment: Sustainment (Sustaining deployed customer test equipment), Design (designing new test equipment) and Fulfillment (Project management & deployment).

This internship will give you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with Test Equipment that is 50 years or right through to state-of-the-art new technology. Test equipment gives you the unique opportunity to be involved in products from concept right through to end of the products life.

Skills and qualifications

• Working towards a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science Technology (E.g. Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Digital Engineering).
• Flair for practical, hands-on activities.
• Creative, problem-solving mentality.
• Keen interest in upcoming technologies.
• Willing to embrace and effect change, with an eagerness to make a positive impact.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
