Moonbug is a kids’ entertainment company. We create and distribute great children’s entertainment to kids all over the world. Our shows are predominantly for pre-schoolers and are all created to support children’s development – shows parents love that their kids love.

We started 4 years ago and have already grown to become the largest kids’ entertainment company on digital platforms in the world. The Role

At Moonbug Entertainment, marketing is about promoting the inspirational and engaging stories that expand kids worlds and minds, which Moonbug creates and distributes.

Based in Camden, London - we’re looking for a driven, passionate and creative Licensing Design intern who is hungry to create! This role will support the L&M creative team in creation of product styleguides, trend forecasting and asset creation across a number of growing kids digital brands. He/She should have a keen interest in designing for licensed product and interest of up-and-coming trends across the product and fashion area, with a special focus on pre-school and toddler demographic.

He/she will have a creative can-do attitude, demonstrate outstanding organisation skills, be deadline driven and thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Responsible for supporting a variety of creative asset initiatives, from trend research and asset development as well as admin based tasks such as file management and distribution.

This is a full-time position, starting September 2022.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate - Work collaboratively with L&M Creative team to deliver a minimum of 4 style guides a year; each style guide will include unique character art, poses, graphic, patterns, and various design elements that could be applied to a license program targeting a specific age group and distribution channel.
  • Trend research – Market research and forecasting into upcoming trends in fashion and product, especially in the toddler and pre-school demographic.
  • Asset creation – Independently and with team members, e.g. moodboards, icons, patterns, presentations, product mock-ups, colouring and activity sheet, etc.
  • Typography – Source fonts appropriate for product and stay on top of font trends within trend research.
  • Brainstorming / Ideation – Join the team in coming up with great ideas for catchphrases, themes, pose ideation and pose concepts.
  • 3D renders management – Support briefing 3D renders to animation studios with relevant references/sketches of poses and file conversion from RGB to CMYK and application of file naming conventions.
  • Photoshopping – Clean cut outs for product mock ups or sourcing extra assets from show final frames.
  • File management – Supporting the team on keeping files in order and up to date in various locations.
  • Presenting – Presenting your work and supporting team in presentations in the wider business updates.
  • Layout design – Guide templates, activity sheets, graphics composition.
  • Briefing – Support team in briefing poses, assets and jobs where needed.
