As an Analyst you will help us deliver our Value for Money reports, which examine various aspects of government programmes and projects. You will get involved in other work too, including investigations and other assurance work. To be successful you will work as part of a small team with sector or topic specialists and qualified accountants. You will contribute throughout from planning to drafting these reports. You will use a range of qualitative and quantitative techniques to gather and analyse data.
All Analysts are expected to spend part of their time developing and using their expertise to contribute to more specialist networks across the office. This includes providing analytical insight and support to others outside of your team on your areas of expertise such as analytical techniques and methods, commercial and regulatory issues, digital transformation and data use in the public sector, financial risk and management, major project delivery, and people and operational management.

THE PEOPLE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for people with strong analytical skills, which can be drawn from a range of backgrounds, to join our value for money study teams.
Education/work experience:
A strong academic background. This means either:
• A minimum of a 2:1 degree in a discipline with a substantial quantitative analytical component (e.g., mathematics, statistics, economics, management science/operations research, finance or data analytics, social research methods) and relevant experience working as an analyst,
or;
• A Master’s degree with a substantial quantitative or research component.
