Finance and Efficiency are offering 12 month industrial placements on our Finance and Treasury programmes that will help complement your university studies. This role will be a hybrid working opportunity in a team located in our Swindon Head Office or London office, with the option to work in a hub located near to you.
What you’ll be doing

Attention to detail and an eagerness to find solutions are key to succeeding as you’ll be working on important deliverables for the Society, ensuring we spend our members’ money wisely, whilst improving efficiency and productivity in everything we do.
Building and maintaining strong working relationships will give you a firm foundation to tackle complex and sometimes ambiguous challenges. If you can take these challenges in your stride, remain well-organised, resilient, and open to feedback, you’ll quickly stand out as someone with long-term potential.
On the Finance programme, you could be working in areas including:
- Financial Reporting,
- Financial Controls and Operations,
- Financial Planning and Stress Testing,
- Efficiency and Cost Management; and
- Strategy & Change
Within the Treasury programme, you could be working in areas including:
- Balance Sheet Risk,
- Reporting & Forecasting,
- Recovery & Resolution,
- Operations and Strategic Development,
- Sustainability & Debt Capital Markets; and
- Treasury Markets.
About you
This role is all about delivering for the Society whilst experiencing a working environment, so you’ll need to have:
- A high level of numeracy and IT literacy
- The ability to use your analytical skills to come up with innovative solutions and ideas
- An inquisitive mind and an aptitude for problem solving
We will also be looking for:
- Great communication skills
- The ability to plan and deliver work with attention to detail
- Determination and drive to make a difference
