About our Commercial Institutional business
In Commercial & Institutional we partner with a huge range of customers from aspiring entrepreneurs to large corporate organisations and multinationals, to collaboratively plan for their evolving needs.

There are several internship pathways available within our Commercial & Institutional business including Commercial Banking, NatWest Markets & Financing Solutions.
Financing Solutions
In Financing Solutions we provide debt financing, risk solutions and first-class advisory services for UK and European corporate and private equity clients. We cover a broad range of specialisms, including acquisition financing, specialist asset-backed financing, leveraged buyouts, infrastructure financing and project finance for greenfield renewable energy projects.
Your Commercial Institutional Insight Experience 22nd & 23rd August 2024
Over two days, you’ll get to know us virtually and in person. You will learn about our business and culture, benefit from skills sessions delivered by our learning and development team as well as testing your skills on a real piece of work.
- Day 1 is in our 250 Bishopsgate office with our Commercial & Institutional teams. You’ll hear from inspiring women who are leading our evolution as a bank, learn about our business, discovering how we’re turning bold ambitions into powerful actions.
- Day 2 is a virtual event taking place online. Here you will find out more about NatWest Group participate in a live piece of work that will help you test your skills and see our purpose led strategy in action.
Across both days you will have lots of opportunities to meet our graduates and build your network as well as find out what to expect on a 2025 internship programme within Financing Solutions.
Entry requirements
If you're in the first year of a three-year degree, or 2nd year of a four-year degree programme you can apply to our Insight Experience event.
You’ll need to be graduating in 2026, but you don’t need any specific UCAS points and you don’t need to be studying a particular subject.
What else you need to know
- On the 22nd August, you must be able to attend in person at our London office, while on the 23rd August you’ll attend the experience virtually from home
- We’ll support your travel expenses for the in-person event by reimbursing you up to the value of £100
- After completing the Insight Experience, you’ll be invited to attend our virtual assessment centre for a position on our 2025 Financing Solutions Internship Programme.
