Nexperia is one of the world’s leaders in essential semiconductors and aspires to become a $10bn turnover business by 2030. This ambition can be achieved through our next generation technologies, ongoing improvement in manufacturing sustainability, state-of-the-art facilities, and most importantly, investing in our people. We are now looking for a Graduate Industrial Engineer to join our team in September 2024.

What our Graduate Industrial Engineer will do

The purpose of this role is to work with our Assembly Centres, helping them to provide a secure supply chain while reducing unnecessary product and materials complexity, improving their performance and reducing product costs for the business.

Working as part of the wider Industrial team, this will be your ‘home’ department. Over the initial 2 year period, you will also gain the opportunity to rotate and contribute into different areas of the business to gain a broader understanding of our products, processes and people. The role will include a lot of interdepartmental collaboration which will build upon your already strong communication skills.

We are looking for a Graduate Industrial Engineer who is self motivated and has the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new situations and information. You will be able to work according to an agreed plan, provide regular updates to the next management level, and you will be expected to resolve technical problems as they arise and escalate where appropriate. We are looking for someone who is able to take the initiative and make the most of the opportunity to grow and develop with us.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Developing, tracking and reviewing Assembly projects to drive their on-time delivery
  • Acting as primary interface to the wider business and ensuring the activities meet the requirements defined by the Qualification and Test Engineers
  • Managing projects using the appropriate level of documentation and review meetings
  • The responsibility of holding review meetings and providing the required documentation to the project team and the appropriate Review Board
  • Supporting and engaging in problem solving work where required to keep projects on track

What our Graduate Industrial Engineer will need

Essential

  • A degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Production Engineering, or similar
  • Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to communicate with both internal and external personnel at all levels
