Are you currently studying a degree and looking for opportunities in the summer to apply your skills and knowledge to the workplace and gain valuable work-related experience?

We are seeking students looking for employment in the summer between their first and second year of study or between their second and third year.

Your role

You'll be working between communications, marketing and engagement, graphic design and recruitment to produce quality video content and photography for our website, social media and internal channels.

One day you might be producing and editing videos to promote the area or to support the recruitment of hard-to-fill roles, another you could be photographing senior council members and our senior management team.

About you

You'll be skilled at planning, producing, shooting and editing video content and photography.

We need someone who can adapt to working in a fast-paced team and is comfortable working with colleagues at all levels, from executive leaders to our amazing frontline workforce. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your skills, work to client briefs and to build a showreel of real-life projects.

Key dates

  • Interview date: week commencing the 6th May 2024
  • Closing Date: 29th April 2024
  • Start date: In line with our ‘Day One: NEL Induction Process’, we would like to aim to have the successful candidate in post by 3rd June 2024

However, this may be subject to change and will of course be dependent on your notice period and relevant pre-employment clearances being completed.

Working arrangements

This role is a blended working role (the duties of the role may require a blend of home & office working in line with needs of the service). All applicants are advised to carefully read the information provided.
