The role

We are looking for Graduates to join our teams in Bristol, but we will consider your application if you are located in a commutable distance.

You will be working on a range of projects across different sectors such as commercial, residential, schools, hospitals; offering you variety and challenge very early on in your career. In everything you do you will be supported by a team with extensive experience in the industry who are keen to share their knowledge.

Our Early Careers Development Scheme is a two year programme in which we will support your development in becoming a successful professional within the industry. You will receive structured support with chartership, technical training and professional membership from our internal mentors as you work towards achieving your professional accreditation. Our mentors come with a wealth of knowledge and experience, therefore providing you with the best support in your chosen career path.

If selected to take part, you will be made fully aware in advance of what to expect and how to prepare.

Key responsibilities as a Graduate Building Surveyor

  • Support the preparation of surveys, designs, reports and contract documents, including drawings
  • General administration of team projects
  • Support senior leads with the delivery of major complex projects
  • Manages small / medium sized projects as appropriate
  • Attends meetings/ presentations where appropriate
  • Supports / undertakes on-site or other survey work
  • Develops client relationships

About you

We are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking individual who wants to progress and grow as part of our thriving Building Surveying team.

Key requirements:

  • You would have need to achieved a degree of 2:1 or above (desirable) in Building Surveying or a related subject.
  • Commitment to Continued Professional development looking to achieve MRICS statutes within 3-4 years
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and continuing to develop these skills
  • Ability to write reports, letters etc
  • Ability to recognise own limitations and seek advice and support when needed
  • Team player and self-motivated
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage time with multiple tasks
