QuantSpark are looking for a highly motivated individual to take part in a 6-12 month internship with the Product team at QuantSpark. Your role will consist of working with internal and external stakeholders to build a product roadmaps and see products and features from ideation through to launch. You will have a key responsibility in managing agile development tools such as Jira and Confluence and will support the Senior Product Manager in advocating for best practices in successful product delivery.

Our products cover a range of topics (including online content collection, data analysis and processing), across various industries (retail, asset management, public sector etc). As such you will be exposed to a wide set of challenges and will be working with several teams to delivery high quality products. Within this role you will have plenty of opportunities to bring in your own expertise and introduce your preferred best practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Build an understanding of the QuantSpark product portfolio
  • Work with the senior product team, development team and QuantSpark’s clients to understand product requirements and develop creative analytical solutions to business problems
  • Manage project roadmaps and development activities and technical documentation using Product management tools such as Jira, Confluence and Asana
  • Create high quality client facing materials to support key meetings and workshops
  • Run ad-hoc research and business analysis to support and assess product performance and potential new opportunities
  • Support the business development team and produce product marketing materials such as articles

Experience required

  • The key qualities we are looking for is the ability to engage with stakeholders on every level, analytical ability and grit, with a desire to learn and improve.
  • Work experience in any type of business, ideally within a product centric organisation
  • You should be a confident communicator with the ability to work with varying stakeholders
  • We welcome applications from any educational background, but a STEM background is preferred. We don't expect you to be brilliant at everything, but we value a broad set of competencies, so any interest in data science or strategy would be appreciated as well.

Nice to have

  • Experience working within a business analytics / data science / development team
  • A Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Interest in Data driven products and strategy

You should have experience in some of the following

  • Creative problem solving
  • Demonstratable experience in delivering project outputs to a high standard (e.g. project briefs, PowerPoint decks)
  • An analytical mindset and some prior experience using these skills within a business environment
