Finance Directorate at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint to the posts of Procurement Adviser (Graduate), where we currently have two vacancies.

The role

Joining an award-winning procurement team as a graduate you will provide procurement support services to the University with the guidance of the professional procurement team.

You will work closely with line management to gain a good understanding of processes and systems initially, after which you will be expected to conduct the duties set out and will have responsibility for managing your own work portfolio.

The post-holder benefits from funding that will be provided for the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications.

About you

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree (minimum 2:2).
  • A confirmed interest in pursuing a career in procurement / contracting is crucial.
  • Up to date knowledge of a wide range of IT systems, including MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience in planning and organising workload to meet deadlines.

This post is available on a fixed term contract for two years. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding
