Finance Analyst will report to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager located at Harlow.

Main duties

  • Lead RIS HQ and Corporate Forecasting and Analysis Process (Current Year, Annual Operating Plan and Long Range Plan)
  • Lead monthly reporting requirements into US stakeholders.
  • Support various monthly reporting requirements including Ops Pack and Monthly Report.
  • Support weekly maintenance and reporting of risks and opportunities process.
  • Challenge, innovate and make recommendations as to how to improve processes.
  • Special projects including other finance support.
  • Support monthly, current year, Annual Operating Plan and Long Range Plan reporting cycles.
  • Preparation of insightful ad hoc financial analysis to support key decision making. Understanding financial impacts of business decisions.

Required skills

  • Strong communicator with a desire for understanding the business model and providing meaningful and actionable insight. Ability to convey financial data to the layperson in an effective manner.
  • Working as part of a team, with an eye for detail and drive for accuracy.
  • Collaborative mentality and able to balance the demands of numerous stakeholders.
  • Assumed system skills: high level of competence on excel modelling and history of demonstrable process improvement.
  • Methodical, hardworking, enthusiastic and able to work well under pressure.
  • Inquisitive approach to day-to-day tasks, with a desire to question and challenge data.
  • FP&A background preferred.

Desired skills

  • Experience using integrated financial systems such as SAP (Apex/Prism), Cognos & BW
  • Likely Degree educated (ideally with a 2:1) but other qualifications considered with relevant experience.
  • Will consider a part-qualified/newly qualified accountant.
