These opportunities are designed to challenge and support graduates whilst providing a wide range of experience and exposure across the business. The rotational nature of the vacancies enables you to build and enhance a full range of strategic, financial, and commercial competencies across projects in development, construction, and operation, providing a strong foundation for a career in renewable energy. Whatever your chosen career path after this, you will have created a network of colleagues who will support your development throughout your career.

The graduate opportunities consist of three rotations of eight months through different RES teams focused on delivering strategic insight and commercial & financial excellence, to make a real difference, based in our award-winning low carbon head office. After the two years you will be given the opportunity of a longer-term role in one of the teams.

These roles provide an opportunity to work within the world's largest independent renewable energy company. RES is driven by the vision to create a future where everyone has access to affordable zero carbon energy. We lead in development, construction, and operation of renewable energy projects. Our technology focus is on onshore and offshore wind, solar, energy storage, green hydrogen, and energy networks. We are active in 10 countries, have developed and/or constructed 22GW of projects, and manage 9GW of operational projects.

What will you do?

  • Conduct a wide range of strategic and market analysis
  • Review, appraise and challenge technical, financial, and commercial information
  • Evaluate business plans and strategic projects
  • Assess renewable energy revenue streams
  • Perform financial modelling of renewable projects & appraise investment opportunities
  • Support project and company due diligence, negotiation for M&A activities, transaction execution, and tendering & placing commercial contracts
  • Undertake asset performance and risk analysis including Environment, Social and Governance activities
  • Gain experience working in diverse multi-disciplinary teams and with Senior Business Leaders

Who are we looking for?

The role requires excellent numeracy and analytical abilities and a passion for the renewables industry. The successful candidate will be expected to have strong written English, effective time management skills and the confidence to engage with and present to senior colleagues.
