We are looking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager to be based at our Derby office to support our Wastewater consulting team. You will liaise with the Project Managers and Technical Leads and work on our Severn Trent WINEP programme of work.

The RPS Water Consulting business is a team of Engineers, Modellers and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy development, to our Water Industry clients to support business planning and delivery.

Your responsibilities

Project Finance

  • Monthly invoicing
  • Project budget reviews
  • Review of costs vs completion across projects
  • Aged debt
  • Project cost forecasting

Project Governance and Administration

  • Assisting with proposal governance document requirements
  • Ensuring project compliance with our integrated management system
  • Completing project request forms
  • Project maintenance on internal systems

Programme and Reporting

  • Creating project programmes
  • Maintenance and updating of project programmes throughout project delivery
  • Creating and updating internal and external progress reports
  • Providing up to date project information to project and programme managers.

Survey Coordination

  • Liaising with survey contractors to ensure the necessary scoping documentation has been supplied on time.
  • Coordinating with internal Project managers to ensure survey requests are sent on time in line with agreed programmes.
  • Scheduling and Management of surveys

About you

  • A recent graduate in a business/project management related degree.
  • Problem solving attitude.
  • Excellent use of MS365 applications, specifically Excel.
  • Experience with PowerApps and PowerBI.
  • Good presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
