Job Description

This is a great opportunity to work as a Graduate QA Analyst in a dynamic team responsible for building high quality online software to that is easy to use for our customers.

Reporting to the Development Team Manager, the Graduate QA Analyst has an appreciation of test practices and is responsible for executing thorough and efficient testing. The Graduate QA will work closely with the rest of the Development Team and create test artefacts and raise any issues that may unfold during a project test phase. The Graduate QA’s primary focus will be on gaining the required skills and knowledge to become an effective and productive member of the Development team and will design, develop and deliver high quality testing across our enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete all required training and mentoring sessions
  • Look to increase both technical ability and domain knowledge through active participation in the project development life cycle.
  • Keep up to date with relevant technology areas.
  • Seek out and act upon feedback from team members
  • Demonstrate a level of understanding of the system under test to allow creation of test artefacts.
  • Obtain an understanding of formal testing principles.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement in technical experience / domain knowledge and actively participate in the project development life cycle.
  • Create test artefacts that maximise the efficiency of the test phase, cover all requirements and allow for a timely delivery.
  • Accurately record and communicate issues found during test phases.
  • Accurately record time spent on tasks.
  • Adhere to team process' and testing standards.
  • Carry out such tasks as directed to meet the needs of the business
  • Seek out and act upon feedback from team members.

Skills, know-how and experience:

Must have

  • Good numerical reasoning and logic ability with problem solving skills
  • Be an active and enthusiastic team player
  • Demonstrable desire for learning and self-progression
  • Good communication skills

Preferred but not essential

  • 1-year practical experience, or professional experience

Entry Requirements

  • A relevant business degree, or an alternative degree supported by a keen interest in pursuing a career in Quality Assurance.
