IT Finance Graduate

In partnership with Global IT, our Corporate IT Team is responsible for delivering improved services and innovative technical solutions to the ScottishPower businesses. This is a dynamic, challenging and exciting environment and we want people who’re up for the challenge to join our team. Our IT department contains a broad range of critical functions, and our IT Office is one of the most diverse.

We’re made up of finance, project management office, practise management and vendor management; we’re the glue that keeps the IT function running efficiently. And this year, we’re looking for graduates with Business or Accounting as part of their degree to drive our business forward as we strive to optimise our processes through increased efficiency and automation.

As expert stakeholder managers, our team manage multiple work streams to provide monthly financial results, budgeting forecasting, business plans and investment analysis within the Finance function.

Within the vendor management office, we provide vendor management strategies and support on contract renewals, while our project management office supports management of IT demand and resource management to enable best practice. With digitalisation driving efficiencies and creating a focus on real value add activities, we’re constantly evolving our processes and the tools we use.

On our IT Graduate programme, you will gain a greater understanding of our IT function as well as the utilities sector as a whole. With support from experienced mentors, you’ll gain essential skills and valuable experience, providing you with the tools you need to excel in our global organisation. With placements across the function, you’ll gain insights into multiple facets of IT while focusing on your chosen specialism.

And with each placement, you’ll continue to build your network of colleagues and graduates to support your development. As a global organisation, you may be able to enjoy opportunities across the Iberdrola group, providing you with experience of dealing with global, multi-cultural teams and almost certainly gaining invaluable experience of participating in global projects.

You’ll support the team in day-to-day finance activities, and you’ll have the opportunity to introduce digital change and work with customers both locally and globally to enable improved satisfaction. We need graduates who are flexible, adaptable and who are wired to generate change.

We want to hear from you if you have, or expect to achieve, an Honours Degree (or equivalent) at a minimum of 2:2 in a Business and IT related degree or similar. If you also happen to speak a foreign language, even better.

Who are we looking for?

YOU! We want you. We want people with talent and ambition, a desire to learn, who embrace innovative ideas and challenge others to think differently. Above all, you must share our passion for excellence to deliver for our customers; and you must be excited to help us generate the change needed to deliver a better future, quicker. Because nothing matters more.
