About the role

Currently we are looking to recruit a Graduate Hydraulic Engineer in our Leeds or Warrington office. This is a chance to join a dynamic team, supporting the delivery of a variety of projects as part of a major capital investment programme. You will play a key role in advising our clients and partners, working closely with them to ensure delivery of service. You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects including water, wastewater, energy, process and infrastructure portfolios.

Our Hydraulic Engineering Team is a specialist group that work across our full range of geographic and sector portfolios. Working on steady state and transient hydraulic analysis of water, wastewater and other process systems; this team plays a key role in advising clients, assisting other disciplines, maintaining software and tools, detailed design, site investigations, managing business risks and quality assurance.

About you

To be considered for this opportunity you must have a minimum of a 2:1 Honour’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or other relevant subject. To be successful in the role you’ll need: -

  • A strong interest in hydraulic engineering and fluid mechanics, this could be evidenced through projects at university or relevant internships,
  • Ability to apply technical expertise in a way which balances commercial profitability, QA adherence, risk management and the morale of others,
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills,
  • A good of understanding the key elements of the design and construction associated with general Civil Engineering works.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines,
  • A strong attention to detail,
  • The ability to use initiative and think outside the box with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude,
  • Most importantly, you’ll embody our values and ethos of client focus and service excellence.
