Society is in your hands, what are you waiting for?

We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Graduate Ecologist to join our team on a 6 month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience of ecological consultancy. This is a hybrid role which for us typically means at least 3 days in the office or on site.

What does the role involve?

As a Graduate Ecologist you will undertake ecological surveys (habitat surveys and surveys for legally protected species). There will be some report writing, liaising with clients, contractors and the general public to assist with achieving points relating to land use and ecology for BREEM assessments. You will also be producing habitat and other survey plans and carrying out Ecological Clerk of Works duties.

What do you need?

You'll hold a degree in Ecology or an Ecology related subject, you might be a fresh graduate or could have gained some experience at another organisation. The position can be based in either Maidenhead or Bristol but there will be travel to sites and other offices so a full drivers licence is required as well as access to a personal vehicle.

Due to the nature of the work you may be required to work outside of usual office hours, for example bat surveys may require night working and reptile surveys/mitigation may require early morning or evening site visits.

What’s in it for you?

You’ll experience an inclusive, friendly and flexible working environment where colleagues are encouraged to grow and develop. A meaningful job where you’ll help to transform society by being a trusted consultant to our clients.

If you believe you have the skill set required, are keen to join a business with genuine opportunities for career progression, then we’d love to hear from you.
