The role

The scale of the work we do means that Tata is an immense arena for learning and development. Work carried out in the department helps to ensure that the site meets and exceeds the compliance issues and improvements in health,  safety and environment required in a modern dynamic business. Continual improvement in these disciplines is essential for the welfare and safety of our employees and partners, and areas on the site which have significant environmental importance (SSSI, RAMSAR), where ongoing improvements are expected. You will be involved in key projects to contribute to this ongoing improvement,  and will be expected to lead and challenge our ways of working.  You will liaise with and be exposed to a range of operations to support improvements and help deliver future site benefits.

The variety of experiences here is unlike any other company.  You'll gain invaluable skills and experience, providing support to all areas of the site including operations, engineering and office functions. Whatever your interest, there will be the scope to develop here.

Our graduate training programme will offer you unparalleled exposure to each of the key areas of our QHSE (Quality, Health,  Safety and Environment) function. A robust mixture of mentoring, on-the-job training and structured learning modules will help you to develop expertise in fields including environmental,  health and safety and quality auditing, legal compliance, key business risks and opportunities with associated improvement plans, incident reporting and investigations, liaising with external agencies including the Health and Safety Executive and Natural Resources Wales,  competent advice to site management in the key areas and corporate social responsibility improving the sites performance and biodiversity with respect to its key stakeholders and neighbouring community.  This will allow you to soon to be taking on key accountability roles within QHSE team and beyond.

You must have at least a 2:1 Degree, Health and Safety,  Environment or similar science related disciplines
