As a marketing intern for the Regulatory Compliance division of Science Group, you will support the day-to-day activities of the Marketing team for Leatherhead Food Research and TSG Consulting.

We work with clients worldwide, from multinational corporations to start-ups, across a wide range of industries including food & beverage (Leatherhead Food Research), and disinfectants, industrial products, and crop protection (TSG Consulting).

You will be actively involved in the planning and execution of marketing activities, as well as supporting in-person and virtual events. Possessing a keen eye for design and detail, you will also support the businesses in ensuring key presentations are produced to a high standard and consistent with branding guidelines.

Main responsibilities of the role

  • Support ongoing marketing campaigns, including the planning and execution of events, so that all activities are delivered on time and within budget
  • Write compelling content for email, web, social, newsletters and other communications
  • Review key presentations to ensure they are produced to a high standard and consistent with branding guidelines
  • Create and launch email marketing campaigns using tools including Salesforce
  • Help develop digital content strategies and design assets for organic and paid social media
  • Post-campaign analysis and reporting on all email marketing and social media campaigns to maximise results
  • Provide general marketing support including maintaining the database of images and videos, and ordering business cards, branded merchandise and other collateral

Key skills and competencies

  • Ideally working towards a Degree in Marketing or Journalism
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with keen interest in content writing and design
  • Strong command of the English language, written and spoken
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
  • Ability to prioritise and respect timelines
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Accuracy is essential
  • Familiar with standard computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Practical experience with Canva or InDesign is a big advantage
