We’re looking for a Wilder Communities Trainee to inspire, engage and enthuse a diverse range of community groups to deliver our vision for the Derwent Living Forest.

The role

In this role, you’ll use your transferable skills and passion for wildlife to inform wide audiences, encouraging them to participate in natures recovery. You’ll lead on a wide range of activities, including; tree planting, engagement events, talks and school sessions – promoting the Derwent Living Forest project to all.

To be successful you will have great communication and engagement skills and be passionate about inspiring people to care and act for nature.

It is an exciting opportunity to develop your community engagement skills within an ambitious nature recovery organisation.

About you

  • You have strong organisational skills and enjoy managing changing priorities.

This role will be based at our office in Middleton although a balance of home and office working will be allowed. We are a local charity so applicants should be easily able to access our office and other locations around the county.
