Your tasks

Ensuring TUV SUD is well placed to deliver future services in a timely, efficient manner is key to the future success of the business. By reviewing best practice within Industry and in some cases, pioneering new methods, you will be key to ensuring the business runs as efficiently and profitable as possible. As part of the Innovations Team, you will liaise with various parts of the business to provide new and innovative software solutions as well as reviewing current practices to provide new solutions which increase efficiency, reduce mistakes, and improve quality.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide software solutions across RF, EMC, Safety, Environmental, SAR, Off-Site and other areas where opportunities arise for improvement
  • Writing C# software to help improve efficiencies across the business
  • Automation of data collection and reporting
  • Solution sharing within the Innovations Team to speed up development process
  • New test service development across Service Lines
  • Training for Service Line employees in areas which have been developed within the Innovations team
  • Technical and awareness training for Business Lines and Sales Teams to ensure they are able to sell new services
  • Liaison with Sales Team and Business Development Managers to ensure development activities are relevant to the business need
  • Liaison with Service Lines to understand aspects that could be improved
  • Provide technical support during solution, (hardware/software) handover process
  • Produce and prove solutions in concept with working prototypes.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress

Qualifications

Essential

  •  Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science
  •  Experience with C# development
  •  Ability to develop a working hardware/software solution from concept to finished product
  •  Team player
  •  Maintains a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  •  Commercial awareness
  •  Good communication skills at all levels

Desirable

  •  Raspberry Pi
  •  Arduino
  •  Keen interest in web development
