Community Operations is the organization leading all types of scalable customer-facing operations at Uber: user support but also onboarding, sales, restaurant support, remote account management, etc.

What You'll Do

You will be working closely with a Regional Community Operations Manager within the team to focus on eater/courier quality workstream. Some of the tasks that you will do include:

  • Generate insights on a regular basis regarding top problems impacting our eater/courier experience from a platform and support perspective. This would be done by extracting data from our internal platforms, doing investigate the data to analyse trends
  • Work on devising policies / processes to help improve experience for our eaters and couriers across all our channels
  • Design, implement, and optimize customers operations: footprint strategy and implementation, channel and modalities
  • Pilot and own new initiatives that transform our customer operations and improve the level of service we provide;
  • Working with partners across UKI / EMEA to achieve the best outcomes across tens of thousands of customers interactions for couriers / eaters every week, and ensuring they operate as efficiently as possible while maintaining a high level of quality;
  • Draw impactful recommendations that help drive the growth, by investigating the numbers, findings, insights, and make data-driven decisions and process improvements;
  • Engage strategically with partners to improve internal tools and the overall user experience.

Basic Qualifications

  • Written and spoken proficiency in English
  • Currently enrolled or graduated in the last 6 months in a Masters or Bachelors degree
  • Availability to work 6 months full time in 2021 starting September/October
  • Business Insight: Understanding and being fully aware of how our business operates and how it makes money and sustains profitable growth, now and in the future
  • Communication: Using communication skills and situational awareness to clearly deliver information to a variety of audiences.
  • Planning and Organization: Setting up and maintaining systems to appropriately structure and keep track of tasks and projects
  • Problem Solving: Optimally resolving issues that involve people, things, and processes by using logic and common sense
  • Stakeholder Management: Taking time to build effective relationships; earning the trust of others within the organization through strong situational awareness and reliability
  • Teamwork: Demonstrates optimism, respects others and works well in a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • A prior internship experience working in a startup, tech company, or any kind of operations internship
  • Prior experience with SQL
