Our mission in the Platform Systems quality team is to make Unity the best engine choice for developers on mobile, consoles, and all other platforms. Verifying new features, ensuring our customers can rely on the stability of any platform, and ensuring Unity games run fast is what gets us up in the morning. The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Software Engineering Intern, Quality to join our small but skillful team in Stratford-upon-Avon. You’ll be a trusted part of the group, working closely with the Platform Systems development team on significant improvements and cutting edge features specifically for our wide range of platform targets.

Unity is used in a huge and diverse range of games across all genres. You will have the opportunity to develop and influence technology used by developers in studios all over the world. You’ll also be given the time and support to grow your knowledge in areas you’re interested in.

You’ll work with us in a couple of converted farm buildings, surrounded by sheep and tractors. Our office environment is informal, relaxed and frequently full of cake. With your help, titles built with Unity will continue to be some of the best around.

This is an 11 month paid placement starting summer 2022

Our office location in Stratford-upon-Avon is not accessible by public transport so you must have access to a vehicle.

What you’ll be doing

  • Validate existing and new features in upcoming versions of Unity
  • Maintain systems around performance, testability and stability
  • Work closely with developers and other quality engineers to provide early feedback on new features and functionality

What we’re looking for

  • You must be currently studying at an undergraduate level and looking for a placement year starting summer 2022
  • Confident communicating with colleagues and customers and have a good level of English
  • Someone self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Experience with an object-oriented programming language such as C#

You might also have

  • Experience in working in a testing environment
  • Prior experience in platform development, such as mobile
  • Unity development experience
