Scotland's sunniest city, Dundee has something to offer everyone, to your North is beautiful Angus and to the South is the Kingdom of Fife. Dundee has an interesting history and is often described as being famous for its ‘three j’s’ namely jute, jam and journalism.

You can choose from exploring the nearby areas with its rich tapestries of castles, abbeys, waterfalls, forests, mountainous regions, unspoilt beaches, amazing opportunities to watch wildlife and of course the assortment of both traditional and modern restaurants, pubs and cafes and interesting shops.

Our award-winning, 2-year programme is designed by vets to give new graduates like you, the best possible start to your practice career.

The role

Joining one of our network of UK practices, you’ll train on the job with experienced Veterinary Partners and Practice Owners, at a pace that works for you. We’ll find you a role that suits you, in terms of location and culture fit. And, with Vets for Pets and Companion Care practices of all shapes and sizes across the country, there’s a perfect place for everyone!

With our support, and emphasis on your wellbeing, you can realise and maintain your full potential in an environment that encourages a healthy work/life balance too.

You’ll be supported from day one by a dedicated Vet GDP Advisor, as well as the graduate and clinical teams, and online by 1,300+ vets within our clinical community.

This role is for 40 hours. You will be joining a team of 2 experienced vets, 3 experienced RVNs, one student nurse, 2 ACAS, 2 receptionists and the Practice Manager. A small but friendly and supportive team.

You’ll also be able to take paid leave to attend the tailored CPD events we hold. The high-quality events we deliver as part of the programme usually comprise subjects such as practical dentistry, practical surgery, radiography, dermatology, cardiology, and more.

As you build your confidence in caring for pets and their owners, you’ll grow your own client base and see continuity of cases with the support of your wider team. You will have a phased approach to sole charge and better still, when you’ve finished the programme there’s a career waiting for you, either with the practice you trained at or within our wider community/network.
