As Junior Buyer you will provide administrative support to the NHS Commercial Manager to authorise orders placed by the Team for the Branded Manufacturer products we purchase for Well/Bestway.

You will be placing PO's on the Navision system for the UK products for Lexon, learn about the UK Deals with Branded Manufactures to ensure orders are placed making the most profit for the business.

You will learn the business working between UK / PI / to support and carry out tasks to support the other buyers as UK deals cross into other departments.

Main responsibilities

  • Supports the delivery of the category plan to facilitate commercial objectives and achieve financial performance targets.
  • Maintain the Management Information Systems of the Buying Department to ensure that the operational needs of the team are met.
  • Provide and maintain Management Information to assist in the delivery of Category annual financial targets.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers to assist in the day to day running of the category teams.
  • Deliver comprehensive and robust range reviews on time and to budget. Ensure that range performance is continually reviewed and remedial action taken where appropriate following Senior Buyer approval
  • Manage and develop supplier relationships across all categories to ensure the effective sourcing of products and to maximise supplier funding in order to achieve the budgeted supplier funding target.
  • Stock replenishment and transfers across depots
  • Providing administrative support to the buyers
  • Day-to-day office admin
  • Chasing outstanding orders
  • Communicating with suppliers on out-of-stock products, such as short or long-term manufacturing problems.
  • Resolving delivery product issues by liaising with Goods Inwards & the supplier
  • Checking prices on invoices

  • Generally reacting to day to day queries, however, able to plan work sequence up to a week ahead.
  • Dealing with queries from customers and employees from up to 800 branches.
  • Varying Management Information Systems and reports.
  • Working across multiple functional areas.
  • Knowledge of numerous Financial processes
  • Adapting to changing technologies and processes within the business
