You will be given a unique opportunity to establish how air quality modelling procedures and outputs will be established and adopted within our organisation.
What you'll do
Initially, you will establish odour and air quality models for key operational sites.
You will be given the necessary training and support to become competent in using ADMS, a world-leading software used for industrial air pollution.
In your role, you will be required to:
- undertake odour and air quality assessments
- support operational staff with air quality monitoring campaigns
- dispersion modelling of odour and atmospheric emissions
- data analysis and interpretation
- prepare factual and interpretative reports
- provide training to key operational staff (once trained).
Depending on your career aspirations, we would envisage you expanding your process engineering capabilities to support the delivery of wastewater and water recycling projects.
Working as an integral part of our Process Engineering team, you will be actively involved at all project stages, including:
- front end engineering and concept design studies
- process design review and optimisation
- supporting process trials for evaluating new process equipment
- developing and preparing technical specifications for procurement
- supporting HAZOP/HAZCOM studies
- supporting operational staff in troubleshooting plant.
What you'll need
You will be qualified to degree/master's level in a relevant engineering/science/environmental discipline.
You will also be comfortable handling large datasets within Excel, working to multiple concurrent deadlines and producing quality reports to a high standard of writing, as well as operating in both office and site environments.
Experience in air quality/environmental consultancy would be advantageous, though not essential as full training will be provided.
