For two weeks in July, we invite ten aspiring solicitors to join us in our London office. The Vacation Scheme is a chance for you to gain a real insight into the workings of a busy London law firm with a diverse, high profile and specialist client base. Our Vacation Scheme will take place on the 12th July - 23rd July 2021.
About the Vacation Scheme
You’ll start off with an in-depth induction. Then you’ll join your first department and spend just under a week getting to know the ropes there. You’ll move to your second department for the second week. During this time you'll be fully exposed to the diverse range of work that we do.
You’ll be given real tasks, such as:
- attending client meetings
- research
- helping with the drafting of documents
- attending legal seminars
- visiting clients, courts or other institutions which the firm is connected to
While in each department a current trainee or member of staff will be assigned to look after you, answer any queries and ensure that your time is being well spent. You’ll also receive a presentation from each department about the workings of their practice area. The idea is to give you as full a picture of the firm as possible in a short period of time.
