Wood are looking for a Junior Draughtsman to provide drawing/document updates using various 2D & 3D CAD/Raster editing packages, from red-lined as-built documentation using the relevant standards, processes and procedures. In addition to maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail to enable the Drawing Office to continue to deliver an efficient quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Creat /update documentation as required in line with client engineering requirements or as-building expectations
  • Utilisation of 2D & 3D software packages enabling the continued update and creation of 2D documentation, 3D designs, 3D models (utilising point cloud information), digital twins, intelligent documentation etc.
  • Locate associated documentation with guidance from Draughtsperson and Senior Draughtsperson
  • Assist in undertaking site surveys when necessary
  • Monitor own workload (with guidance) to ensure timely delivery to clients
  • Report to & support Technical Lead as required
  • Adhere to company policies & procedures
  • Be part of the company Safety and Quality Culture

About you

Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 4 GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
  • Suitable CAD knowledge or appropriate qualification

Knowledge, skills, and experience

  • A drive for continual learning / understanding of the latest design tools, technologies and processes
  • A good level of general computer skills (good electronic housekeeping)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work with multiple stakeholders in a professional manner
