    About the team and/or client

    This role sits within the GroupM UK Operating Expense team reporting into the Expense Controller. The role will work closely with the rest of the Operating Expense team as well as the Controllership and IT Team.

    The role objective

    The primary objective of the role is to support the Expense Controller in the overall IT Expense management of GroupM UK, GroupM WW and GroupM EMEA. The aim is to develop a strong framework by which expenses can be managed, controlled, and analysed to support both a controlled expense management and an ability to look forwards and support the business in decision making.

    Responsibilities

    • Accurate and timely reporting of month end P&L and balance sheet for expenses in line with timetable to GroupM and WPP
    • Gain an understanding of all IT costs within the units assigned to the Operating Expenses team to ensure accuracy and completeness of the financials in relation to these costs
    • Analy sis of the expense transactions
    • Streamlining forecast and budget processes with the collaboration of the Operations & Expense Team
    • Analysis of key issues
    • Action any queries during Forecasting/Budgeting processes.
    • Assist with the Cartesis input on a quarterly basis.
    • Assist with commentaries submission to GroupM EMEA on a quarterly basis.
    • Seek opportunities for process improvement and automation to improve efficiency and timeliness of finance processes
    • Supporting with a number of ad-hoc projects

    You must have

    • Part Qualified and currently studying ACCA/ACA/CIMA
