WPP have selected Workday as their innovative HCM, Finance & PSA system of choice to meet changing demands and this role will be instrumental in rolling out one of the most exciting Workday programmes for a global business right now.
This role will play a pivotal role in ensuring programme costs are effectively planned, spend is authorized and tracked in line with WPP and the Programme’s governance framework.
What you'll be doing
- Junior Finance Analyst for our Global Workday programme totalling >$500m investment over 5 years. You’ll improve the impact, and understanding, of financial performance of our ERP programmes and broader legacy estate.
- Accountable for assisting the PMO and Finance BP financial forecasting, planning, and reporting of these key programmes
- Build key relationships with the programme teams
- Improve data quality, insight, and economic drivers.
- Assist with the financial analysis insights and key reports for our ERP Programmes to inform strategic decision making and delivery of business value / outcomes
- Operate in a highly complex environment with very high risk (potential financial or commercial impact, OpCo and Group level visibility, potential reputational impact).
What you'll need
- Part Qualified accountant (i.e. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Degree or equivalent (i.e. MBA) desirable but not essential
- Excellent communicator with a track record of operating, partnering with and influencing stakeholders, including non-financial teams
- Collaborative approach with a focus on business and client needs
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced organisational transformation and is comfortable navigating organisational / geographical complexity, across different functions (Operational, Commercial and Group Finance)
- Tenacity, whilst acting high integrity and strong ethics.
- Management reporting and decision support
- Ability to manage pressure and execute critical decision making as well as being self-motivating whilst operating in an ambiguous environment
- Data-led approach to solving problems, driving new insights and identifying value opportunities
- Strong Organisational and prioritisation skills
- Experience within an IT / technology environment would be an advantage
