What does a Junior Versioning Editor do at Hogarth?

The Junior Versioning Editor adapts existing content for use in UK and international markets and in a range of formats, such as, TVC, Social and DOOH. The work involves a wide range of clients and work types from a simple legal change to managing complex ongoing AFX projects. You will need good Premiere and After Effects skills, a methodical approach, an eye for detail and an excellent understanding of broadcast and social media standards.

Reporting lines and key stakeholders

Reporting to the Versioning Edit Supervisor. Maintaining a great relationship with the versioning post producers and other key departments.

Requirements

  • Mid - weight Adobe After Effects skills and a good working knowledge of Premiere
  • Experience working with large brands
  • An understanding of brand guidelines and working within them
  • A strong understanding of current UK and European broadcast legal requirements
  • Experience with clocking and delivering for Broadcast
  • A firm knowledge of video codecs /file formats for social, online and broadcast.
  • Basic understanding of file servers, SAN, NAS, etc.
  • Understanding of how content is consumed and distributed in a digital context.
  • Experience organizing and streamlining projects for adaptation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to follow strict workflow and procedures
  • Experience with QCing different media formats.
  • Enthusiasm for both editing and motion design
  • A good team player
