Welcome to the On Demand Consulting stream for Internship Experience UK, an online programme to boost your employability and help you shape your future career. Here’s everything you need to know.
What does the Consulting Internship Experience involve?
We’ve partnered with leading employers, including Accenture, PwC, Bain & Company, Elixirr and Alpha FMC to create an experience to support and widen your understanding of the world of Consulting. You’ll develop core consultancy skills as well as the opportunity to undertake a project to simulate real work you'd complete on an internship. We've previously run these sessions live however, to make sure as many students and recent graduates benefit from the content as possible, we're now running this On Demand, so you'll have plenty of opportunity to complete in your own time over the holidays.
Here's an overview of what's involved:
Take part in sector overviews and expert skills sessions delivered by teams at leading consultancies, giving you background into how to undertake a project as well as insights into the industry.
Real world project
Begin your work project to simulate real-life tasks you’d be responsible for during an internship at a Consulting firm. You'll be benefit from the opportunity to submit your work and receive insights into how you've performed, as well as where you could improve in future.
After you've finished the project you'll have access to a final skills session and some exclusive new content recorded for December 2020. You'll also receive a certificate on completion of the all stages of the course, which demonstrate your skills and ability to employers.
This is a free experience and can be completed fully virtually.
- 25th November - Applications open
- 13th December - Applications close at 10am
- 14th December - Experiences launches - you'll be sent your pack and get an invitation to a 30 minute kick off call at 4pm
- 5th January - Experience finishes (submission deadlines) and a closing event at 4:00-5:15pm

You’ll find out how the sector works, the different types of consulting you could work in and ways to get into the industry after graduating. Discover the mindset of a good consultant and develop the core skills needed to succeed in the sector, including data analysis, leadership, presenting, communication, commercial awareness and entrepreneurship. Plus, you’ll receive a certificate on completion which you can add to your CV and LinkedIn.
Am I eligible and how do I apply?
This internship experience is open to every student and recent graduate over the age of 18. All you require is a Bright Network membership which is completely free, and you can complete when you start your application.
