Bright Network Women in TEC is the best way to explore the most innovative and popular sectors, find a role that suits your career aspirations and expand your network with representatives at leading firms and other like-minded students. Apply today to join us on 17th February for our first flagship event of 2023!

The event is running in a hybrid format, so you can attend virtually or in-person. However, virtual attendees will not be able to network with the employers, so we recommend attending in person.

Who can attend

You're an undergraduate or full-time postgraduate student who identifies as female or non-binary

You're graduating in 2023, 2024 or 2025 (or 2026 if already at university and on a four-year course)

You're on track for at least a 2:1 and can demonstrate academic excellence

You're attending university in the UK (if you'll be attending in person)

Additional skills gained from extracurricular activities/work experience will be viewed favourably, especially if you can demonstrate an interest in technology or coding

Registration and networking

For in-person attendees, this involves chatting to other members in the main exhibition room (standing and walking).

12:30 p.m. - 1 p.m.

Welcome and keynote talk

For in-person attendees, this is a seated session in the main presentation room.

1 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.

Panel session

Topic: top tips from successful female leaders. For in-person attendees, this is a seated session in the main presentation room.

1:45 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Tea, coffee and networking (in person attendees only)

Light refreshments will be served during this time, but we recommend having lunch before the event. You're also welcome to bring your own snacks. Involves walking/standing to speak to employers.

3:15 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Panel session

Topic: Championing Women in TEC. For in-person attendees, this is a seated session in the main presentation room.

4 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Skills session with PwC

For in-person attendees, this is a seated session in the main presentation room.

I'm still exploring my career options, but this event gave me a really valuable insight into the kinds of jobs and opportunities that are available in TEC. Additionally, it gave me a great confidence boost towards the application process for future placements and internships.
