About: 2nd year trainee sat in the Regulatory department
I am a third seat trainee, currently sat with our Regulatory team. In my first few months with the team, I've been lucky to get involved with a wide variety of really interesting, often high profile, work. So far, this has included assisting with preparing a Judicial Review action by drafting court documents and witness evidence right through to assisting with negotiating UK international trade agreements. The work in the team often requires a lot of research as well as direct communication with clients, which I have really enjoyed.
Outside of my work in the team, I am also a member of the Trainee and Apprentice Committee. This involves acting as a liaison between my intake and Graduate Recruitment to raise comments and queries to ensure that everyone gets as much as possible out of the Training Contract. I also enjoy taking part in the various pro-bono initiatives, and will shortly be helping organise the Fieldfisher Reading Partners Scheme. This scheme partners staff with a child at a local school to help improve their literacy and reading skills as well as their general confidence.
