About the role

Dyson is a very innovative company that moves at pace demanding architecture that is robust, strategically aligned and supports innovation across the business, from RDD through to the owner experience

As a Strategy, Innovation and architecture Graduate in IT, you’ll be challenged to think strategically and explore how technology can be used to solve real world business problems. You will help us work with our technology Partners, such as, Google, Microsoft and Salesforce to help us innovate on our big platforms. You will provide input into the core IT architecture helping to define future technology roadmaps aligned to our strategic ambition.

Over the course of this two-year programme you’ll develop your expertise across a series of placements. Depending on your skillset and aspirations, you could spend time in the following roles:

  • IT Innovation – Leading our innovation hub communities
  • IT Architecture -  Supporting the development of our core Architecture processes and governance
  • IT Programme management – Supporting the delivery of key cross functional programmes
  • IT Strategy – Helping to work through our business capability model to drive out domain specific technology roadmaps.

In addition, you’ll be supported with a development framework designed to provide the technical and commercial know-how to help you drive your Dyson career. The work will be challenging and varied but you’ll be getting stuck in from day one, helping to influence the future of Dyson technology.

About you

Working at the forefront of technology is tough so standards and expectations are high. You’ll be contributing to live projects from the start so you’ll need to be curious, hungry to learn and ready to get stuck in. But it’s not just about technical expertise. You’ll need to:

  • Be studying towards a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, IT, Cyber Security, or Business-related degree (other degree subjects can be considered)
  • Be graduating in 2022 or within the last 2 years
  • Be able to evidence your passion for delivering projects, either through your university projects or as part of your extra-curricular activities
  • Be able to thrive in Dyson’s fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of information security technologies would be advantageous

Above all, you’ll want to play a key part in bringing the next generation of Dyson technology to the world.
