About the Graduate Program

As a graduate you’ll build a diverse and relevant career platform – learning our business, identifying your career path, and continuing to develop your skills for years to come. Starting in September 2024, you’ll join an international cohort of Moody’s RMS graduates. You’ll begin with a month-long training program, learning from our network of leading developers, scientists, product managers, and customer success practitioners. Following this, you’ll participate in our company rotation program, gaining direct experience across various teams and disciplines. Through your rotations you will enhance your knowledge of our products, how they are built, the companies who use them, and the industries managing catastrophe risk. Your work will span our products and markets, developing technical skills and knowledge, problem-solving skills, and communication skills.

About the team

You will be part of the Global Insurance Strategy team which defines and promotes the Moody’s insurance proposition and facilitates the development of consistent approaches across the organization. The team works in a highly multidisciplinary environment and drives our Go To Market strategy with sales, product management, marketing and other functions, to deliver value to our clients.

About the role

Analysts in the team work closely with members of the strategy team and broader organization to:

  • Support key aspects of our insurance product offerings including supporting early stage of the product innovation lifecycle, developing value proposition and market positioning.
  • Support the development ideas and business plans for our insurance strategy, including tracking current and emerging “deep currents” to identify potential new product opportunities or modifications to existing products.
  • Source and analyse market feedback on products, services and other solutions. Conduct guided and unguided research in relevant areas.
  • Develop estimates of total available market sizes as part of the development of the business case to support go/no-go decisions.
  • Educate stakeholders at team meetings, global offsites and product roadshows.
  • Assist in the production of ad-hoc analyses, reports, presentations, and provide support on special projects as needed.
  • Monitor the execution of the solutions strategies in coordination with various internal departments.

Required qualifications

  • Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., bachelor’s degree), graduate/second-level degree (e.g. MBA, Master’s) preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation ability.
  • Ability to communicate analysis results and insights effectively.
  • Strong quantitative and analytic skills (including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access and relational database queries).
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent time management and planning skills with a commitment to delivery.
  • Driven and committed, demonstrating self-motivation as well as strong team working skills.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Preferred qualifications

  • Post-graduate work experience.
  • Experience and/or interest in the re/insurance business domain.
  • Ability to work in dynamic environment with flexibility of tasks.
